Shiva, pseudonym of Andrea Arrigoni, is one of the most emerging artists of the trap scene in Italy in 2019/20. He was born in Legnano in 1999 but he lived for a period of his childwood in Tuscany and then moved back to Lombardia, in Milan. He left school not only to focus completely on music, but also because he was unable to approve the school system, and, at the age of fifteen, he was at the beginning of his musical career. In 2015 he releases a self-produced music video of the song “Cotard delusion” which allows him to ‘get to the eye’ of some record producers, such as those of the Honiro Label, whom in the same year will offer him a collaboration and become his first record label.
With the Honiro Label releases in 2017 his very first album called “Tempo Anima“, which will throw it on the scene. The following year he will release his second album, “Solo” which sees many other artists known on the rap-trap scene, such as Mostro, Giaime and Nerone.

2019 is Shiva’s “turning point”: he releases the songs “Bossoli” and “Mon fre” which will then receive the platinum record and will be on the FIMI chart. In this year he did many feat which will slowly bring him to everyone’s eyes. Among these we have “Mattoni” of Night Skinny and the participation in the famous Machete Mixtape Vol. 4 which sees him involved in two tracks and leads him to be the youngest artist to have ever participated in this mixtape.
At the end of 2019 releases the last track of the year: “Soldi in nero” ft. Sfera Ebbasta and produced by Charlie Charles, one of the most renowned music producers.
In January 31st, 2020 he releases “Routine” which is his first EP, and sees the collaboration of high-level artists such as Marracash, Capo Plaza and tha Supreme.
In January he announced his first “mini-tour” which would begin with three dates in Milan (which then increased to five due to too many requests) and would continue in seven other Italian cities. Every single date was sold out in less than 24 hours. (However he has never been able to perform on his own because the dates were canceled due COVID-19).

Shiva is my favorite Italian artist and I would recommend him very much. Not only because he has a beautiful and unique voice, but also because he has his own way of writing: unlike many of today’s trappers who create rhymes without a connection, he uses the “storytelling” and manages to pass messages. His latest release, Routine, is an example: there are many really deep songs, such as “Milano-Ovest” which describes the situations that characterized his growth in the suburbs and the life of the artist with whom he made the feat, Marracash.
